CQC Report and our Response
We believe in being open with the people who use our services. Following the publication of the recent CQC inspection report, we are sharing a brief overview of our position so that patients are fully informed.
We have submitted a Formal Assessment of Compliance (FAC) to the CQC to challenge the accuracy and fairness of the report. This action has been taken because we strongly dispute several of the findings and the way in which the inspection was conducted.
Why We Are Challenging the Report
1. Inconsistent and Unfair Judgements
Multiple ratings do not reflect the evidence collected during the inspection. In several cases, areas were rated as “Inadequate” despite no evidence of harm or poor practice, and in some instances, despite positive evidence being acknowledged.
Core processes — including daily clinical meetings, audits, supervision, and shared-care pathways — were confirmed as being in place, yet still received the lowest possible ratings without clear rationale.
2. Selective Representation of Staff Feedback
We hold serious concerns regarding how staff comments were interpreted and presented. Feedback from a very small number of individuals appeared to be given disproportionate weight, while the majority of staff who reported feeling supported and valued were largely excluded from the narrative.
There were no formal complaints or grievances raised internally, and our independent external HR support systems were not reflected in the report.
3. Questionable Use of External Public Commentary
The report referenced online Google reviews — something we have not seen in comparable CQC reports for similar services. Anonymous online reviews cannot be verified, yet appear to have been used as part of the regulatory assessment, despite our service having supported over 3,000 patients.
We believe this approach undermines the objectivity and reliability of the evaluation process.
4. Concerns Regarding Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Rating
The inspection applied a “Requires Improvement” rating to the Workforce Equality, Diversity & Inclusion domain, yet no evidence was cited to justify this. We have requested clarification on this decision to ensure that the scoring was free from bias and aligned to the CQC’s own standards and methodology.

In Summary
We do not believe that the published report offers an accurate, fair, or balanced representation of our service. It contains factual inaccuracies, inconsistent use of evidence, and conclusions that do not reflect the information gathered during inspection.
We have exercised our right to challenge the findings and will update this page if further developments occur.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss any concerns directly, please contact us — we will always communicate with honesty and transparency.
