Already diagnosed with ADHD?

You may not need to be reassessed to access treatment.

At ISC-CARE, we accept legitimate third-party ADHD diagnoses and offer a clear, ethical route into medication titration, without charging onboarding or “reassessment” fees. This is sometimes referred to as transfer of care.

Why we do this

A diagnosis can be life-changing. Treatment shouldn’t be delayed by unnecessary duplication.

Our position is simple:
If you already have a credible ADHD diagnosis, we will focus on what matters next: safe, structured titration and ongoing care, after we confirm your documentation meets legitimacy and clinical safety requirements.

Who this is for

This pathway may suit you if you:

  • Have a formal ADHD diagnosis from a legitimate provider/clinician

  • Want to explore medication titration in a safe, structured way

  • Prefer an approach that is trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming

  • Want clarity on shared care and longer-term prescribing options

(If you’re unsure whether your diagnosis documentation will be accepted, we’ll tell you exactly what we need.)

Our “diagnosis verification” approach (what we check)

We do not “reassess you for the sake of it.” Instead, we verify that your diagnosis is legitimate and clinically usable for prescribing.

We typically look for:

  • A clear diagnostic conclusion (ADHD confirmed)

  • Evidence the assessment was completed by an appropriately qualified clinician/service

  • A structured assessment process (e.g., clinical interview, developmental history, collateral information where appropriate)

  • Documentation that supports safe prescribing decisions (including relevant medical history)

Important: Verification is not a repeat diagnostic assessment—it's a FREE safety and legitimacy check so we can prescribe responsibly.

What you’ll need to provide

To begin titration, we’ll ask for:

  • Your full diagnostic report (and any supporting letters)

  • A GP summary / relevant medical information (as needed for prescribing)

  • Evidence of required checks (see ECG below)

Medical safety first: ECG requirement

All clients who wish to begin medication must have had an ECG within the last 3 months. This is a key safety step before stimulant medication. If your GP cannot provide one promptly, we can offer an ECG at our Liverpool clinic (£100).

What happens next (step-by-step)

1) Send us your diagnosis documentation
We confirm legitimacy and ensure we have what’s needed for safe prescribing.

2) Complete medical checks
Including ECG and any additional checks requested by the prescriber.

3) Begin structured titration
A typical programme runs over 12 weeks with structured prescriber reviews (often every 28 days).

4) Ongoing care and shared care (where possible)
Once stable, we may be able to initiate a Shared Care Agreement with your GP (GPs can accept or decline)

Pricing and what we do (and don’t) charge for

We’re transparent about fees—and we keep onboarding straightforward.

  • No onboarding fee

  • No charge for “reassessing” you just to access titration

  • Titration, ECG, shared care and review fees are set out on our medication/titration page: Click here

FAQs

Do you accept any private ADHD diagnosis?
We accept diagnoses from legitimate sources where the documentation supports safe prescribing. If something is missing, we’ll tell you what’s needed.

What if my GP refuses shared care?
Some practices decline private shared care. If shared care is declined, private prescribing and 6-monthly reviews may continue through us (details on our titration page).

Do I need therapy during titration?
Therapy isn’t required, but many clients find it helpful alongside titration for coping strategies, emotional adjustment, and routines.

Can you guarantee medication will be suitable for me?
No ethical service can guarantee this. Medication suitability depends on your health profile, response, and side effects. We titrate cautiously and collaboratively.

If you already have an ADHD diagnosis, you deserve a clear route to treatment that prioritises ethics and safety.
